The Fudge Cottage was founded in 1990.

From small beginnings on a stall in Cathedral Square with a fold out table, demand for the unique fudge quickly grew leading to a shift to The Arts Centre market shortly after.

On Valentines Day, 1994, The Fudge Cottage Shop opened its doors and introduced a wide array of traditional treats to the people of Christchurch and is now one of the city's local icons.

The Fudge Cottage began Kitchen Tours in 1999, providing an exciting insight into the art of fudge making.

Today, The Fudge Cottage remains a locally owned and operated family business and continues to provide the superior confectionery that has made it world famous.
